Bright is a rapidly growing, top-tier venture-funded company, focusing on developer-centric application security for the enterprise. We enable organizations to fix security issues before they reach production by integrating security early in the software development process, reducing reliance on manual testing, and running scans frequently.

Position Overview:
As a Marketing Director, you will drive critical marketing efforts, focusing on demand generation across all key channels, including events, content, and our website. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, while being based in the US, and involves managing 1-2 dedicated and talented marketing team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to generate demand and drive growth.
  • Lead and manage key marketing activities across events, digital content, SEO, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and technical teams to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Oversee the management and development of direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage a significant portion of the marketing budget and ensure ROI on marketing campaigns.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and conferences


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the AppSec or cybersecurity space.
  • Proven track record of successful demand generation and marketing campaign management.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while effectively collaborating with a geographically dispersed team.
